Choose the right starting point
Use the calendar to see a month and compare Hijri and Gregorian dates. Use the date converter when you already know one date and need its equivalent. Choose the age calculator for a birth date, or date difference when you need the interval between two dates.
Prayer times depend on a different set of inputs: your location, the selected day and a calculation method. Check those settings before comparing a result with a mosque timetable. The prayer guide walks through the differences that most often cause confusion.
Before you rely on a result
Confirm which calendar your source date uses. A number such as 05/09 is ambiguous without a month name, year and calendar. When sharing an important date, include both calendar names and the full year rather than copying a number alone.
Calculated Hijri dates support planning; a local moon-sighting announcement may differ. For religious observances, check the announcement followed by your community. For appointments or official paperwork, confirm the date with the organisation involved.
Tools in your language, guides you can read directly
The guides and interactive tools support 19 languages, including Arabic, English, Urdu, Bengali and Indonesian. Choose a website language to read the guides and open tools in that language. Unsupported languages use English. Your saved preferences remain in the same browser when you move between tools.
You can read every guide without installing an app or enabling JavaScript. Interactive calculations require JavaScript. The mobile apps offer additional capabilities, but the web calendar and calculators can be used directly from your browser.
